Deborah Garvin received her bachelor’s degree in special education from Mississippi State University and received her teaching certificate in special education with concentration in mental retardation, learning disabilities and emotional conflict. She has over 20 years experience working with emotionally disturbed and learning disabled adolescents. Before joining American Behavioral Garvin was a lead special education teacher within the Shelby County school system. She is a member of the City of Pelham Beautification Board, the Center for Exceptional Children and the Alabama Education Association. Garvin joined American Behavioral in 2007 and serves as the Quality Management Specialist.
