Catherine Denson, earned her nursing degree from Gadsden State College and has over 20 years of diversified experience in the healthcare industry, with specific emphasis on managed care. Prior to joining American Behavioral, she served as Manager of Case Management and Regional Supervisor of the Pre-certification and Concurrent Review Division for United HealthCare, where she was responsible for the managed behavioral health services for all clients contracted with American Behavioral.
Denson holds the designation of Certified Case Manager, and is past president of the Case Management Society of America (CMSA), Birmingham, Alabama Chapter. Denson’s past service to the CMSA, Birmingham Chapter, includes stints as Educational Committee Chairperson, Board Member and Treasurer. In addition to being a board member and past president, she currently serves as a member of the Conference Committee.
