Carol J. Pinkerton

Director of New Client Business Development

Carol Pinkerton joined American Behavioral in 2004 and currently oversees sales operations with an emphasis on developing new business. Pinkerton brings more than 30 years of healthcare experience including development and implementation of all phases of sales promotion and market expansion. Pinkerton currently serves as one of the Co-chair’s for the Alabama Breast Cancer Research Foundation. After having served multiple years, she has just recently resigned as Vice President of the board of directors for Focus On Recovery, a facility that promotes the well-being of women in early recovery from alcohol, drugs and other related behaviors.

After attending the University of Alabama in Birmingham, Pinkerton attended several university programs throughout the southeast receiving certifications in the fields of anesthesia and surgical assisting. Prior to joining American Behavioral, she worked in surgery for 18 years, served as a Marketing/Sales Specialist for HealthSouth Corporation, and Director of Admissions for two long term healthcare facilities in northeast Alabama.

Pinkerton and her husband Tim, live in Birmingham. Together they have three children and one grandson.
